It’s December 4th and there are seriously just 3 weeks until Christmas!  Where did the time go because honestly Christmas just got real for me!  While I’m pretty much done all my decorating and shopping for  gifts for teachers and friends I am just starting for the most important people – the ones where Christmas matters the most – my kids and all the kids in my life!  That’s right this year I’ve got kids of all ages to buy for, ranging from tiny little newborn babies to those 12 year olds you just have no idea what to get anymore!! It’s December 3rd which on its own doesn’t mark any big holiday for us except that it’s also the first Tuesday following the U.S. Thanksgiving, which for years has been known as “Giving Tuesday”.  It’s the international day of charitable giving as we head in the Christmas and holiday season. It’s become a tradition in our house to think of the less fortunate and give back throughout the year but especially at Christmas time.  Giving has always been very important to me but has become even more so in the past few years. The Santa Claus parade was yesterday, so Christmas just got real!  The holiday season has officially kicked off and while I pretty much love everything to do with the Holidays and Christmas there’s one thing that stresses me out every year – sending out Christmas cards! We’re celebrating once again.  It feels like we’ve been celebrating a lot of things these days.  No, it’s not my birthday – that was a couple weeks ago.  And it’s not our wedding anniversary either.  Today marks a special day for me.  Although I usually don’t post on weekends I couldn’t not recognize the day two years ago that changed my life. Happy October everyone!  It’s raining and a bit cooler out there today.  Can you feel it though? Fall is in the air!
